It has now been a year since our first concert experience. Thus, there has been ample time for us to recover from our stalking failures, reestablish our goals, and mentally prepare for our next test. From our training, one would expect us to have become wiser, stronger, more creative, and more focused. Sadly, this has not been the case. When the opportunity of seeing them up-close arises, we lose control and all common sense. We become what we hate most....psychotic teenyboppers.

Saturday Evening, July 15: Lindsay, Amanda, and Erin #2 learn that the *NSYNC tour buses are parked at the Downtown Marriot...a stone's throw away from Duquesne University (where we were staying). Thus, they quickly and logically decide to dine at the Marriot's Steelhead Grill. Of course, no one is spotted. Rumor was, according to the bread boy, that the band was attending a picnic thrown by Chris' grandma.

After they had outstayed their welcome, the three began heading back towards Duquesne. Erin #1, who had just rushed to school from work, sees them walking, and begins honking frantically. For the last 15 minutes she had been making loops around the hotel. Furthermore, she was convinced that she had seen suspicious looking people walking around downtown. Consequently, everyone piles into the car and we being driving up and down the streets of Pittsburgh. Of course, no one more suspicious than usual was seen. At 8:30 we gave up and returned to campus.

At 10 pm, however, we were energized. We all jumped into Erin #2's truck and began the search again. We hit all of Pittsburgh's hot spots including Mt. Washington, the Strip District, and the South Side. We saw nothing...nada...zilch. We returned to the dorms at 1 am, totally dejected. Later we learn JC had gone to see X-men while Joey and Lance went to Damon Busters (the only hot spot we didn't check).

Though Saturday was a bust, we still remained optimistic for Sunday. It was another day, another opportunity.
