For the very latest *NSYNC news, check out the *N the Mix Message Board!
It's the best site I've found for daily *nsightful, *ndepth *NSYNC articles! (Sorry, I couldn't resist)
Ever dream about one of the boys of 'N Sync pressed against your mouth? Well, pucker up, because now is your chance. Sort of.
Prepare to say "Bye Bye Bye" to chapped lips forever. Famous Fixins, a producer of celebrity-licensed promotional products, including Britney Spears
bubble gum, announced Wednesday that it had inked a deal with the top-selling boy band to launch a new line of flavored 'N Sync lip balms (But not, alas,
'N Sync-flavored lip balms).
The various balms will be sold separately and as a five-pack. Each 'N Sync member will have their own flavor: Green Apple (Joey Fatone), Blue Raspberry
(Lance Bass), Watermelon (J.C. Chasez ), and Strawberry (Chris Kirkpatrick). Justin Timberlake? He's Vanilla.
*NSYNC Shatters Sales Record
MTV NEWS
By: Robert Mancini
To steal a phrase originally coined for Frank Sinatra: it's 'NSYNC's world, we just live in it.
When SoundScan sales figures were released on Wednesday, the boy band cemented its full-blown phenom status as the group sold a whopping 2.4 million copies of its "No Strings Attached" album in just one week in stores. The mark sets a new record for best one-week sales and more than doubles the previous record set by the Backstreet Boys'
"Millennium," which sold 1.13 million its first week out in May 1999.
'NSYNC's monster sales figures are also almost ten times greater than that of the number two record album in the country, Santana's "Supernatural," which sold 265,000 copies last week. And for even more perspective, ponder this: "No Strings Attached" sold more copies last week than the rest of the "Billboard" top 20 combined.
'NSYNC's record week may not have been simply the result of a wide fan base and effective marketing. Many 'NSYNC fans were spotted buying numerous copies of "No Strings Attached," some simply to have more than one, and others to specifically help the group break the Backstreet Boys' sales record.
'N Sync has formed two new companies to assist in administering future business for the group. SKEEZ, LLC. will handle the group's touring and ZEEKS, INC. will oversee
merchandising, recording and all other ancillary activities.
'N Sync broke the previously held record of 145 adds held by Jive's Backstreet Boys by grabbing over an unbelievable 200 adds for "Bye Bye Bye" in its first week on radio!
'N Sync's debut album has gone DIAMOND! 10 million copies of 'N Sync's self-titled debut album have been sold in the US as of January 5th, 2000 according to the Record Industry Association of America.
To our utter amazement, we recently won the "Show Your Support for 'NSYNC" Contest. Check out our photo ~Erin & Lindsay (PA)~ on the official 'NSYNC website!! (Nevermind, it has already been removed.)
